Tokens

Launch or list a token

Create a coin that trades from its first block, or open a market for one you have.

The Creators page has four ways to put a token on Lightbeam. All of them run on chain from your wallet.

OptionWhat you get
Create meme coinA new token whose supply goes on sale on its own order book, trading from its first block
Fair launchThe same, with the liquidity locked for three months
Plain tokenA fixed-supply token minted to your wallet and listed, with no sale
Import tokenA market for a token that already exists on MegaETH

Create a meme coin

Fill in:

  • Name and symbol.
  • Total supply.
  • Sold for: ETH or a dollar token.
  • Start and end price: the sale's price range. The defaults put the whole supply at a $10,000 market cap at the start and $1,000,000 at the end.
  • Number of sale orders: up to 60, spread across the range.
  • Kept by you: up to 50% of the supply, sent to your wallet. The rest goes on sale.
  • Image, description and links, shown on the token's page.

Before you confirm, a summary shows what goes on sale, the price range, the starting market cap and how much the sale raises if every order sells, after the 0.2% maker fee.

The sale orders are auto-flip orders with 2% profit. When one sells, it turns into a buy order 2% below, so the money raised stays on the book as support under the price. They work like any other auto-flip liquidity, and you can withdraw the position whenever you like. This differs from LEAF's own launch, whose sale orders sell once and never flip.

Fair launch

A fair launch is a meme coin launch whose position is locked for three months. Buyers can see that the money raised will stay on the book as buy orders for that time.

Plain token

A fixed supply, all minted to your wallet and listed on Lightbeam. There is no sale; add liquidity from its market afterwards.

Import a token

Paste the address of any ERC-20 token on MegaETH to list it and open its market. Its contract must report a name, a symbol and decimals. New listings show as unverified until Lightbeam reviews them.

The From Kumbaya list shows tokens that have a Kumbaya pool but no Lightbeam market yet. Their new market trades against the same token as the pool, so arbitrage keeps the two prices together from the start.

Anyone can launch or list a token, including one that copies another's name. Check the address before you trade, and treat unverified tokens with care. When two Kumbaya tokens share a symbol, the import page warns you.
